No. For once it wasn't because of the dog. I woke up at 6 am to feed Johnathan, and heard water running. Oh. Just the softener I thought. No... toilet running... no... what IS that? SO I went downstairs.....SQUISH! Oh FUCK! The hose on the washing machine broke, and was gushing water everywhere. I ran upstairs, grabbed my glasses and woke hubby. I had just happened to rent a steam cleaner, and I took out 8 buckets of water before he got a hold of his mother and we found out who to call. Turns out or basement was pretty much toast. Water had run down the hallway, into the guest room and HORROR! my craft room. Thankfully all my yarn is in totes and off the floor. So, we cleaned out that room and moved everything into the rest of the family room. Then, they found that the carpet was
delaminateing in the living room, so everything went upstairs and into the garage. Carpet could only be saved in the guest room, the water only went a little bit in there. They had to tear out everything else. And part of the walls to. And the bathroom and laundry room floors. So pretty much, we get a new basement.

Looking down the stairs. That's where the TV used to sit. The dark? Water damage.

Looking down the hallway. That's the bathroom door on the left.

Craft room! The horror! That's a huge
dehumidifier. There's 2 of them in my basement right now. See how the wall under the window is missing?

And this? This is the wall that had my shelves with all my yarn stored. You're looking into the laundry room now.

This is the guest bedroom. They've pulled up the carpet, and cut out the pads. There are fans like that in every room. The fans and dehumidifiers have to run for a full 3 days at least to dry everything out. It's so loud that I'm holed up in the bedroom with the dogs and baby with the doors closed.

Oh, ugh. That sucks, honey.
That is HORRIBLE. You poor dear. If it's not one thing - it's another.
