So, they bandaged Siris up and he came home on Wed. Thursday morning had us rushing over to the vet to replace the bandage, as it had slipped and you could see a big gaping wound. Friday morning? A repeat of Thursday. Friday they kept him during the day to watch him, and stapled the bandage to his leg. Brought him in today, and they changed his bandage, and stapled it it two places thankfully, as we have to make it to Monday. And, a couple of the stitches on the top row have already come loose. So, we're watching it like a hawk. We're heading over to a friends house tonight, and have to bring him with. Ack! He's just like having another baby!
But, he's healing well. It's just a lot of running to the vet. I was there EVERY day last week. And, they keep reminding me it's going to be a long road yet.

Your poor guy! Dogs are amazingly resilient. I once found a puppy who was so sick and infected with various skin ailments that almost all the skin on his back had to be removed. He was essentially a gaping wound with tiny legs. It took a few weeks, but he recovered, and though he always had a fist sized scar on his back, he went on to live a happy and fully functional life. My dogs and I are wishing you the best with your boy!
Thanks for the well wishes! That poor puppy! Glad to hear he made it.
